Charles Henry "Chuck" Comstock (January 23, 1929 - April 18 2018)
Obituary for Charles Henry "Chuck" Comstock Charles Henry “Chuck” Comstock, 89, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at home. Born in Marion, he was the son of the late Guy and Ida “LaTresse” (Sailors) Comstock. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 1 and American Legion Post 330. He worked for Moon Printing for 19 years and Fort Wayne Newspaper for 14 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed going to the lake and golfed till he was 80 years old.
He is survived by children, Charles “Larry” Comstock of New Haven, Elizabeth “Beth” Comstock of Middletown, John (Lori) Adams of Fort Wayne, Patrick (Marie) Adams of Hermitage, TN, James “Maury” (Ginny) Adams and Kevin Adams both of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Helene “Ann” Comstock in 2003; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral Service is 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a prayer vigil at 2:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery with military honors.
